1918 Spanish Flu historical documentary | Swine Flu Pandemic | Deadly plague of 1918 – YouTube

Dear Readers, the above video is not about spirituality, at least not directly. It describes the so-called SPANISH FLU of 1918-1919 that devasted the entire world. I won’t ask you to watch the whole thing, though I will leave it up to you. The ending is almost prophetic.

Still a Hippie, and proud of it. Have my BSW, now retired. Would have preferred to be a Dr. of Philosophy, but the university I went to wouldn't let me study my own philosophy. Your gain, their loss. I live on the edge of society with my partner, five cats, a broodmare, and a three year-old filly who might make her racing debut this coming summer or fall. Remember the name, Tricksy T Clanton.

  1. Every so once in a while a lesson comes out of the Life Cycle some three billion (I think) years old. Our continued existence on this planet is conditional and if we don’t use our abilities in positive, constructive and above all co-operative ways, we are heading for just a measly smear on the fossil record (a million years of existence from our most primitive form to extinction….Hah! That’s nothing!)

      1. If we learn we will be evolving. If we don’t…Pfffft!…Smear on the fossil record, not even a modest one. In fact later advanced species on this planet may initially believe all our fooling around was a natural event which wiped out a lot of species and we don’t get noticed, very much.

  2. Off topic … without revealing more than you wish, where in Canada do you live, rawgod? I remember looking at a map when the fires were raging, but I’ve since forgotten.

If anything were to happen to my other-half and if, at that time, Trump had become the czar he so wants to be, I would seriously consider moving to your country. I’ve heard Vancouver is outrageously expensive so it would definitely not be on my list.

    1. Hi Nan,
Presently I live way up north in Alberta, onthe east side of the Rocky Mountains. Do not move to Alberta, even though the scenery is very pretty. Our Premier (kind of like a governor, but not) is a Trump wannabee, and every second word he speaks is oil. He lies, though not as obviously as Trump.
Vancouver itself is expensive, but British Columbia (our version of California) has a lot of great small towns. From what I have picked up reading your blog, that is where I think you would love to be.

      1. Thanks, rawgod! The chances of me ever actually moving to Canada are remote, to say the least. But one never knows … and I’m the kind of person that likes to think ahead and cover the bases. Just in case. πŸ™‚

        1. BTW. thanks for the info and the recommendation. IF … again I say … IF the occasion ever actually arises and we’re still in touch, I’ll probably ask for more detailed info.
